Ambient Recruiting is partnering with a respected employer in Petoskey to hire a dependable Outdoor Maintenance Associate for the fall season.

This is a great opportunity for someone who prefers hands-on work over sitting behind a desk and enjoys spending the workday outdoors. You'll help maintain outdoor areas, prepare properties for the changing season, and complete a variety of grounds and general maintenance projects.

If you're dependable, comfortable with physical work, and take pride in keeping outdoor spaces clean and well maintained, this could be a great seasonal opportunity.

What You'll Be Doing
As an Outdoor Maintenance Associate, you'll assist with a variety of fall property and grounds maintenance responsibilities, including:

• Perform general fall property and grounds cleanup
• Operate leaf blowers and other outdoor maintenance equipment
• Remove leaves and seasonal debris
• Prune plants, shrubs, and landscaped areas
• Pull weeds and maintain landscaping
• Install deer fencing and other seasonal property protection
• Prepare outdoor areas for the upcoming winter season
• Assist with general property maintenance projects
• Safely operate hand tools and outdoor power equipment
• Maintain clean and organized outdoor work areas
• Follow established safety procedures
• Assist with additional outdoor maintenance tasks as needed

What We're Looking For
Successful candidates typically have:

• Previous manual labor or hands-on work experience
• Comfortable working outdoors in changing fall weather conditions
• Ability to perform physically active work throughout the day
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks
• Comfortable using outdoor maintenance tools and equipment
• Willingness to learn new equipment and responsibilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to safety
• Reliable transportation
• High school diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications
The following experience can be especially helpful:

• Landscaping or groundskeeping experience
• Lawn or property maintenance experience
• Experience using leaf blowers and outdoor power equipment
• Pruning and landscape maintenance experience
• Fall cleanup experience
• Previous construction, farming, maintenance, or other physical labor experience

This is an outdoor, physically active fall position, so you'll need to be comfortable working in Northern Michigan's changing fall weather.

You'll spend much of your day standing, walking, bending, pulling, pushing, lifting, and operating outdoor maintenance equipment. The work may include everything from blowing leaves and cleaning up landscaping to pruning, pulling weeds, and installing deer fencing.
