We’re recruiting a skilled Glass Installer for a family-owned glass and window company that has served communities around Kalkaska, Antrim, Crawford, and Grand Traverse counties for close to 40 years. In this hands-on role, auto glass will be your main focus, and you’ll also work on residential and light commercial jobs. That variety means you’ll keep building your skills instead of doing the same task every day.
This is a good fit for an installer who takes pride in quality work and wants to stay with a stable local shop. The employer has also mentioned room to grow into a shop lead or foreman role for the right person, so this could become a long-term career, not just your next job.

- Removing and replacing auto glass, including windshields and other vehicle glass
- Repairing windshield chips and cracks
- Installing residential and light commercial glass, including mirrors and tub/shower enclosures
- Helping with full vinyl window replacements

- Measuring, prepping work areas, and making sure every installation is clean, safe, and secure

Why You’ll Love This Opportunity
- Competitive pay of $20-$26/hour, with higher pay possible for experienced installers

Real Talk
This is hands-on, physical work. You’ll handle glass, tools, and materials every day, and some jobs, like gutter installs, will have you working outside in Michigan weather. End times vary with the workload, so plan on some days running until 6:00 or 7:00 PM. The work is seasonal: summers are busy with 40+ hours a week, and winter hours are lighter. This role suits someone who is skilled, reliable, takes pride in doing things right, and is comfortable working independently.
