Because outgoing orders must meet a strict 1:00 PM daily shipping cutoff, reliability, organization, and the ability to maintain a steady pace are critical to this position.
The position pays $17.00/hour, with an opportunity to earn up to $18.00/hour for weekend shifts on the Wednesday–Sunday schedule.

- Communicate with team members as needed to resolve inventory or order issues
- After the daily shipping deadline, assist with eBay listing tasks and book research

- Follow established fulfillment, shipping, quality, and safety procedures

Real Talk
This is a physically demanding fulfillment position where you'll be expected to stay active and maintain a consistent pace throughout the shift.
You'll be picking approximately 1,000 books per day, with a production expectation of 175 books per hour. The work involves navigating 9-shelf storage bays, using step stools, bending, kneeling, reaching, lifting, and carrying books weighing up to 50 pounds.
The 1:00 PM shipping cutoff is firm, so being dependable and managing your time effectively are extremely important. During busy periods, especially around the holidays, shipping deadlines and carrier pickups don't move. Reliable attendance is therefore critical to the success of the operation.
This is also an individually driven role. You'll need to be comfortable working independently, staying on task, and maintaining your own pace without constant supervision.
The work can be repetitive and physically demanding, but it can be a strong fit for someone who enjoys staying busy, likes having clear daily goals, and takes pride in getting orders out accurately and on time.
If you have previous warehouse, order-picking, fulfillment, inventory, shipping, retail, or production experience, make sure to highlight it when applying. The ability to work independently, maintain accuracy, and consistently meet deadlines will be especially valuable in this position.
