You'll work directly from a conveyor belt, grading book condition, sorting materials, and scanning qualifying items into the company's software system. What You'll Be Doing
As a Scanning & Sorting Associate, your responsibilities will include:
- Grade the condition of books and other items coming off the conveyor belt
- Sort items based on their condition and established quality standards
- Scan books in good condition into the company's software system
- Follow the software's routing process to ensure products are directed to the correct destination
- Maintain an individual production goal of 240 scans per hour
- Perform repetitive scanning and sorting tasks consistently throughout the shift
- Maintain accuracy while working at a steady production pace
- Stand for the full 8-hour shift
- Follow established production, quality, and safety procedures
- Work with coworkers to maintain consistent product flow throughout the production area
