Ambient Recruiting is partnering with a premier Northern Michigan hospitality property to hire a friendly and dependable Host/Hostess to help create a welcoming experience for every guest.
As a Host/Hostess, you'll be one of the first points of contact for guests. You'll greet and seat guests, manage reservations, answer phones, assist with to-go and in-room dining orders, and support the restaurant team while providing fast, friendly, and courteous customer service.

What You'll Be Doing
As a Host/Hostess, you'll:
- Greet guests warmly and provide friendly, professional customer service
- Seat guests according to restaurant seating procedures
- Manage dining reservations using the OpenTable reservation system
- Answer phones and assist guests with questions
- Take and manage to-go orders
- Assist with in-room dining orders
- Process guest transactions accurately
- Assist servers with table maintenance and restaurant stocking
- Help keep dining areas organized and presentable
- Communicate with servers, kitchen staff, and other team members
- Support daily restaurant operations as needed
- Complete other assigned tasks to help provide an exceptional guest experience

- Experience using OpenTable or another reservation system
- Cash handling or point-of-sale experience
- Experience providing high-quality customer service
- Familiarity with restaurant operations

What to Expect
This is an active hospitality position where you'll spend much of your shift interacting with guests and supporting restaurant operations.
You'll be on your feet for extended periods while greeting and seating guests, answering phones, managing reservations, assisting with orders, and helping maintain the restaurant.
The restaurant environment can become fast-paced during busy meal periods, so the ideal candidate is someone who can stay organized, remain friendly under pressure, and provide excellent customer service while working as part of a team.
