Ambient Recruiting is partnered with a great food manufacturing company located in Holland, MI who is actively looking for a qualified Material Handler. The candidate will be responsible for servicing the lines timely and accurately with material requests for both raw materials as well as finish products. There will be different climates – such as dry storage, cooler and freezer.

Material Handler Key Responsibilities:
- Primary function is to service the kitchen and production lines
- Responsible for the accurate picking and recording of production orders and the generation of the appropriate paperwork.
- Using computer terminal to look up inventory information.
- May assist with the proper unloading and storage of received material and ingredients when called upon.
- Maintain cleanliness of dry storage, cooler and dock areas.
- Ensures all safety procedures are followed for forklift operations, product and ingredient storage (including load capacity), and other work practices to avoid and eliminate workplace hazards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Material Handler Key Qualifications:
- One to three months of related experience/training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in English is required.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
- Good organizational skills and detail oriented.
- Forklift certified or ability to obtain forklift certification.
- Stand-up fork lift experience.
- Repetitive motion (hands/ wrists)
- Proficient math and computer skills
- Extensive walking and standing
- Lifting up to 50lbs
