Ambient Recruiting is partnering with a leading manufacturing company to hire an experienced Shop Floor Manager to lead a production team of approximately 30 employees. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and knows how to balance safety, quality, productivity, and people development.

What You'll Be Doing
As a Shop Floor Manager, you'll:

Lead, coach, and support production employees across shifts

Oversee daily shop floor operations and production activities

Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, and productivity

Manage production scheduling and staffing needs

Monitor production performance and address issues as they arise
-
Ensure production goals and customer deadlines are met

Apply lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement strategies

Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and workflow
-
Partner with vendors and internal teams to support production requirements

Communicate expectations clearly and hold team members accountable

Support employee development and performance improvement

Help create a positive, productive, and team-oriented work environment

Perform other leadership and operational duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
Successful candidates typically have:

Previous manufacturing leadership or supervisory experience

Strong people-management and employee coaching skills

Experience leading production teams in a fast-paced environment

Strong understanding of safety, quality, and productivity principles

Ability to manage staffing and scheduling requirements

Preferred Qualifications

Previous injection molding experience

Experience with lean manufacturing principles
